The James Beck Overpass is on State Route 94 just south of downtown Valdosta and lifts traffic over the Norfolk Southern railroad line. It was named after James Beck, a Valdosta mayor (1966-1970 and 1972-1974). His leadership was responsible for the building of the overpass.
