Čeština: Josef Kábele (* 16. listopadu 1914 Svídnice u Chrudimi – 4. prosince 1986 Praha) byl důstojníkem prvorepublikové československé armády, za protektorátu byl učitelem a zapojil se velitelsky do domácího protiněmeckého odboje v rámci ilegální vojenské organizace Obrana národa ve východních Čechách, kde jeho odbojová skupina spolupracovala s partyzánskými jednotkami a podporovala členy britských výsadků Intransitive a Calcium. Po skončení druhé světové války pokračoval do roku 1947 krátce ve vojenské kariéře v československé armádě. Na počátku 50. let 20. století byl souzen a následně vězněn komunistickým režimem. Plně rehabilitován byl v 60. letech 20. století.
English: Josef Kábele (* 16 November 1914 in Svídnice at Chrudim - 4 December 1986 in Prague) was an officer in the Czechoslovak army of the First Republic, a teacher during the Protectorate, and a commander in the domestic anti-German resistance within the illegal military organisation "Defence of the Nation" in East Bohemia, where his resistance group cooperated with partisan units and supported members of the British Intransitive and Calcium airborne units. After the end of World War II, he continued his military career briefly in the Czechoslovak Army until 1947. In the early 1950s he was tried and subsequently imprisoned by the Communist regime. He was fully rehabilitated in the 1960s.
