English: Joseph Munggenast (* 5.3.1680 in Schnann/Tyrolia, † 3.3.1741 in St.Pölten/Lower Austria), important baroque architect, nephew of the architect Jakob Prandtauer. To his oeuvre belongs the facade of Zwettl Abbey church, the abbeys of Geras, Altenburg and Seitenstetten in Austria.
