English: Jules Bouy (1872-1937), French furniture maker and interior designer active in the United States. Trained as a metalsmith, he came to New York City as a representative of a Parisian decorating firm. In 1928, he started his own business, Bouy, Inc., designing and fabricating entire interiors including furniture, and favoring luxurious materials and tropical hardwoods. Among his clients was Lizzie P. Bliss, one of the founders of the Museum of Modern Art.
