Karimnagar (Telugu: కరీంనగర్, Tamil: آدகரீம்நகர், Urdu:کریم نگر ضلع) is a district in Andhra Pradesh state of India. It is named after its district head quarters Karimnagar town. The district is situated in the north-western region of Andhra Pradesh, bounded on the north by Adilabad and Chanda districts Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh states, on the south by Warangal district, on the southwest by Medak district, and on the west by Nizamabad district.
