Nederlands: Oorsprong gaat terug tot de 13e eeuw; van 1370 tot 17e eeuw bekend als 'Goet ten Walle'. Herbouwd 1880-1885. Tot 1989 woonplaats van gegoede families, onder meer de Cuypere (textiel), van Oye (textiel), Couppe (schoenen), restauratie 1919-1920. Vanaf 1989 Stad Torhout, restauratie 1993-1994. Benedenverdieping toeristische infobalie, bovenverdieping museum "Torhouts Aardewerk".
English: Origins date back to the 13th century; from 1370 to the 17th century known as 'Goet ten Walle'. Rebuilt 1880-1885. Until 1989 residence of wealthy families, including de Cuypere (textiles), van Oye (textiles), Couppe (shoes), restoration 1919-1920. From 1989 City of Torhout, restoration 1993-1994. Tourist information desk on the ground floor, museum "Torhouts Aardewerk" on the ground floor.
