John D'Estaing Adams (1946–8 June 2011), known as "Kenny the Busker", was an infamous street entertainer in Wellington, New Zealand. Born in Texas, he moved to Wellington in 1992 as a missionary and combined his vocation with his love of music by performing in the city streets in the evening. His amplifier was confiscated multiple times by the Wellington City Council following complaints from nearby residents, resulting in an on-going dispute between Kenny and the city council in the late 1990s. He died, aged 64, in 2011 and his amplifier was officially gifted to the Wellington Museum. In 2022 a plaque was installed on a bench in Courtenay Place by the city council in his honour.
