English: Léon Alexandre Marcotte (May 15, 1824-1887), French cabinetmaker and interior decorator, active in the United States. Marcotte came to New York in 1848 and formed in 1851 a business partnership with Danish-born architect Detlef Lienau. Prior to that, Marcotte's sister, Marie-Felicité, married Parisian ébéniste Auguste-Emile Ringuet-Leprince in 1835, and Ringuet-Leprince and his brother-in-law, Marcotte founded in New York a branch firm, Ringuet-Leprince, Marcotte and Co.
