The River Laggan is a tributary of Loch Indaal, Islay, through Laggan Bay. It originates as the union of a number of streams draining the mountains and hills of north central Islay, flows in a winding course through the Laggan Estate, which is essentially moorland, is joined by the Duich River, a left-bank tributary, and enters the bay south of Laggan Point across the sands of the Big Strand.
