The Capodimonte porcelain manufactory (Real Fabbrica di Capodimonte) operated from 1743 until it was moved wholesale to Madrid in 1759. a new royal factory was established by Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies, which manufactured from 1771 until 1806. This is generally known as Naples porcelain (officially the "Naples Royal Porcelain Manufactory"), with the usual mark of a crown over a blue "N". Its products may also be incorrectly called "Capodimonte porcelain". Other private factories established from the 19th century on also call their wares "Capodimonte porcelain". This category is for these later products, by Majello (1867-present) and others.
