English: The Mayhill was a four-masted iron/steel barque, built 1890 by Alexander Stephen & Sons Dundee (Yard No 92) for W. & J. Myres Sons & Co., Liverpool. 1893 sold to W.J. Meyers, SOn & Co., Liverpool, but managed by the White Star Line (Ismay, Imrie & Co.), Liverpool. Wrecked 1895 August 10.
Her dimensions were: length × beam × depth = 292 × 41 × 23.6 ft (89 × 12.4 × 7.1 m) and she had a tonnage of 2121 GRT and 2027 NRT. Rigged with royal sails over double top and single topgallant sails. [1]
