English: This is a belt made of gold plaques depicting the hero-god Melqart fighting a lion, Griffons and palmettes, in Oriental style. It may have been commissioned by an aristocrat who used oriental iconography as a symbol of power and prestige. From Treasure of Aliseda, 7th-6th century BCE.
Español: Cinturón de oro perteneciente al Tesoro de Aliseda. Está formado por pequeñas placas de oro que representan el dios-héroe (Melkart) luchando con el león, grifos alados caminando hacia la derecha y palmetas. Siglos VII-VI a. C.
עברית : חגורה עשויה לוחיות זהב המתארות את האל הגיבור מלקרת נלחם באריה, גריפונים ופלמיטות (תימורות) בסגנון אוריינטלי. ייתכן שהוזמן על־ידי אציל שהתשמש באיקונוגרפיה האוריינטלית כסמל לכוח ויוקרה. במקור ממטמון אליסדה (ספרד), המאות ה־7–6 לפנה"ס.
