English: The Milion was a Tetrapylon (whose only remains are a stone pillar), close to the Hagia Sophia, from where all the distances in the Eastern Roman Empire were measured.

Français : Le Milion était un tétrapylon (« quatre portes » en grec) dont il ne reste que les vestiges de certaines arches. Il se trouve près de l'ancien mur de Constantin, à la sortie de l'Augustéon, entre Sainte-Sophie et la mosquée Bleue. Ce monument marquait le point d'origine des distances pour toutes les routes menant aux villes de l'Empire byzantin. Il avait la même fonction que le Miliarium Aureum de Rome.
