Category:Morrison Electric vehicles
This category is for the experimental electric vehicles made by William Morrison of Des Moines, Iowa, between c. 1886 and 1896. Morrison made up to 12 of them as test mules for his patented battery. None had a ccommercial background, he just sold them when he didn't need them. He invested the earned money in further experiments, and his next car. His best known vehicleis the c. 1893 built Morrison-Sturgis that was driven at the Chicago Times-Herald Contest in 1895 by Harold Sturges. By then the eldest car in the race, owner Sturges had it worked over, and fitted another engine. It failed early.
