English: The Civic Museum of History and Art of Trieste (Civico Museo di Arte e Storia di Trieste, also known as Orto Lapidario and Museo d’Antichità “J.J. Winckelmann”) is located near Piazza Cattedrale at Via della Cattedrale 15, in Trieste, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. It was established in the XIX century as a collection of sculptural remnants and other artifacts from the ancient world of Italy and beyond.^[1] The centrepiece of the museum is the Cenotaph for the German art historian and archæologist Johann Joachim Winckelmann (1717-1768), created in 1833 by sculptor Antonio Bosa (1780-1845).^[2]

Winckelmann") si trova vicino a Piazza della Cattedrale, in via della Cattedrale 15, a Trieste, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italia. Nasce nell'Ottocento come raccolta di resti scultorei e altri manufatti del mondo antico italiano e non solo. Il fulcro del museo è il cenotafio per lo storico dell'arte e archeologo tedesco Johann Joachim Winckelmann (1717-1768), realizzato nel 1833 dallo scultore Antonio Bosa (1780-1845).
