The New York Public Library's Muhlenberg Branch at 209 West 23rd Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City was built in 1906 and was designed in the neo-Classical style by Carrere & Hastings, the same architects who designed the Main Building of the New York Public Library, as well as 13 other Carnegie branch libraries. The building was designated a NYC landmark on January 30, 2001. (Source: "NYCLPC Designation Report")
