For "overlay" images (with a transparent background; currently limited to SVG format) tied to a specific geographic location that can be overlaid on an image or OSM base map of that location (such as generated by w:Template:OSM Location map). May be suitable for other applications. Not for images that combine an OSM base map and an overlay; those should go under Category:OpenStreetMap maps. This category is for only the overlay images themselves.
Files included here should note the geographic location of the centerpoint of the image (use {{Object location|<lat>|<lon>}}), and the "zoom" value (scale) of the OSM base map it is based on.
