English: OpenVMS (Open Virtual Memory System), previously known as VAX/VMS or just VMS, is a server operating system that runs on the VAX, Alpha, and Itanium computer architectures. Now owned by Hewlett-Packard, the system was originally developed by Digital Equipment Corporation in the 1970s.
Suomi: OpenVMS (Open Virtual Memory System), aikaisemmin nimillä VAX/VMS tai vain VMS, on palvelinkäyttöjärjestelmä, joka toimii VAX-, Alpha- ja Itanium-tietokonearkkitehtuureilla. Nykyään Hewlett-Packardin omistuksessa olevan järjestelmän kehitti alun perin Digital Equipment Corporation 1970-luvulla.
