Deutsch: Ophir ist ein kleiner Ort in der Region Otago auf der Südinsel von Neuseeland. Er gehört zum Central-Otago-Distrikt und liegt etwa 25 Kilometer nordöstlich von Alexandra am östlichen Ufer des Manuherikia River. Die Siedlung Omakau, durch die der auch als „The Pigroot“ bekannte State Highway 85 und der Otago Central Rail Trail verlaufen, befindet sich auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite ungefähr 2 Kilometer nordwestlich.
