Information about the animal

The white-headed saki (Pithecia pithecia) is a primate species from the saki family in South America. It is distinguished by its striking white facial mask and black body. These skilled climbers live mainly in the dense forests of the Amazon basin and feed mainly on fruits and leaves. Although their exact population is unknown, they are threatened by habitat loss, which is why the protection of their habitats is of great importance.
