The Palmer Building at 950-956 1st Avenue South. Built for A.L. Palmer in 1910 for $72,000. George C. Dietrich was the architect and builder. This building suffered some of the most visible damage during the 2001 Nisqually earthquake, when the entire side wall on the building's top floor fell into the adjacent parking lot, crushing several cars.
