English: Paul Rusesabagina (born June 15 1954, pronounced "rə-ses-ə-bä-JĒn-ə") is a Rwandan who has been internationally honored for saving over 1,000 civilians during the Rwandan Genocide. He was the assistant manager of the Hôtel des Mille Collines, before he became the manager of the Hôtel des Diplomates, both in Kigali, Rwanda. During the 1994 Rwandan genocide, Rusesabagina used his influence and connections as temporary manager of the Mille Collines to shelter over 1,260 Tutsis and moderate Hutus from being slaughtered by the Interahamwe militia. His story was the basis of the Academy Award-nominated film Hotel Rwanda (2004).

Pendant le génocide rwandais, il était directeur de l'Hôtel des Mille Collines, un hôtel luxueux à Kigali au Rwanda. Il était le directeur-adjoint de l'Hôtel des Mille Collines, avant de devenir directeur de l'Hôtel des Diplomates, les deux se trouvant à Kigali, Rwanda. Pendant le génocide rwandais, Rusesabagina utilisa son influence et ses contacts de directeur temporaire des Mille Collines pour sauver 1260 Tutsis et Hutus modérés de la violence meurtrières de la milice Interahamwe. Son histoire est relatée dans le film "Hotel Rwanda", sorti en 2005 et nominé aux Oscars
