Nederlands: Paulus Najoan', geboren rond 1860. Leerde schilderen en fotograferen in Jakarta, daarna bij de Hoofdenschool in Makassar, Celebes.
Vanaf 10 oktober 1885 werkzaam als tekenleraar aan de Kweekschool voor Inlandsche Onderwijzers Amboina in Ambon. In zijn tijd vooral bekend als landschapsschilder. Won in 1884 in Jakarta drie zilveren medailles voor krijttekeningen. Maakte in 1892 twee landschapsschilderijen voor de Nederlandse resident op Ambon, Gerrit Willem Wolter Carel Baron van Hoevell, resident van 1891-1895. Najoan was christen en werd in 1892 gelijkgesteld aan de Europese ingezetenen. Huwde in Ambon met Johanna Wilhelmina Abrahamse. Zij kregen drie kinderen,
