Alice Liddell's parents, after honeymooning in Llandudno, decided to build "Penmorfa", as a permanent holiday home. The house was subsequently a hotel and was to be converted into apartments, but has now been demolished. Alice Liddell, who was the inspiration for 'Alice in Wonderland', spent many childhood holidays here.
