  • English: The so-called Psyche di Capua (actually a Venus), is a sketchy statue found in 1726 in the Campano amphitheater in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, where it decorated the front porch of the summa cavea together with other sculptures. It is kept in the National Archaeological Museum of Naples (inv. 6019). It retains its charm and great beauty despite the excessive sanding on its body surface by 18th century restorers.
