English: Ptah is an old egyptian god and was principally worshipped in Memphis, in Lower Egypt. He was believed to be the husband of lion goddess Sekhmet and the father of Nefertum. He was also considered to be the god of fine arts and craftmens. It was also considered that Ptah manifested himself in the Apis bull, who was buried at Saqqara. He was soon assimilated with the necropolis god Seker becomming Ptah-Seker. Later as Ptah-Seker-Osiris he become assimilated by Osiris, lord of underworld. More...
Français : Ptah est un ancien dieu égyptien qui était principalement adoré à Memphis en Basse-Égypte. Il y formait avec Sekhmet et Néfertoum une triade. Ptah était aussi le dieu des arts et des artisans. Il était également réputé se manifester régulièrement aux hommes à travers le dieu toureau Apis qui à sa mort était enterré à Saqqarah, la nécropole de Memphis. Par synchrétisme il assimila le dieu des nécroples Sokar (ou Sokaris) formant une seule divinité : Ptah-Sokar. Sein Hauptkultort war Memphis, eine Stadt knapp südlich des heutigen Kairo, die über lange Zeiträume der pharaonischen Geschichte königliche Residenz war.
