The Red River War between the United States Army and several Southern Plains tribes — the Arapaho, Comanche, Kiowa, and Southern Cheyenne, lasting from 1874 to 1875. The Red River War was part of the larger Texas-Indian Wars and Indian Removal of the mid-1800s in the United States.
