English: The Repubblica Transpadana was created by Napoleon in 1796 on the territory of former Austrian-ruled Duchy of Milan. In 1797 it merged with Repubblica Cispadana to form the Repubblica Cisalpina, as follows:

- Repubblica Transpadana and Repubblica Cispadana (created by Napoleon in 1797) merged in 1797 to become the:
