日本語: 橋梁・溝渠構造以外で東海道新幹線の軌道（高架橋や盛土）下を流れる河川・用水路など。東海道新幹線開業当初は沿線に田畑が多く、軌道によって給排水が断たれることに農業従事者が反発したため国鉄が整備した。その後、宅地化・都市化が進み灌漑としては使われなくなったものもあるが、軌道保護のための雨水処理用として活用されている場合も多く、管理が自治体や土地改良区・水利組合とともにJR東海が関わっている。なお、季節性の暗渠排水の流路（乾路・渇路）は管理が異なるため「Covered drains under Tokaido Shinkansen」参照。
