Deutsch: Riverton oder Aparima ist eine Kleinstadt auf der der Südinsel Neuseelands in der Region Southland. Sie liegt am Ende der Oreti Beach, 30 km westlich von Invercargill und ist Teil der Touristenstraße Southern Scenic Route. Die Insel Stewart Island befindet sich in etwa 45 km Entfernung. Die Stadt an der für ihre raue See bekannten Foveaux-Straße bietet einen sicheren Hafen.

English: Riverton or Aparima is a small town at the south of the South Island of New Zealand. It is in the Southland region and lies at the western end of Oreti Beach, 30 kilometres west of Invercargill on the Southern Scenic Route. It is approx. 45 km from Stewart Island and provides a safe harbour from the Foveaux Straight.

עברית: ריברטון (או בשפה ה מאורית: אפרימה, Aparima) היא עיר קטנה בדרום האי הדרומי של ניו זילנד. העיר נמצאת בחבל סאות'לנד, בקצה המערבי של חוף אורטי, 30 ק"מ מערבית לאינברקרגיל, על מסלול הנוף הדרומי. היא מצויה במרחק של 45 ק"מ מהאי סטיוארט ומהווה נמל בטוח ממיצר פורבו.
