Two Rail lines pass through Rochester. East-west across the north side of town is the Chicago and Atlantic RR. Passing along the river on the east side of town is the Lake Erie and Western RR.
Indianapolis Peru & Chicago -> Chicago and Atlantic Railway -> Chicago and Erie Railroad -> Chicago and Erie Railroad -> Erie Railroad station was at the head of Pontiac Street at W 1st Street. The old Erie Railroad Station currently sits on 1st Street at Pontiac.
Lake Erie and Western RR -> New York Center RR -> Nickle Plate RR station may have been along Franklin St (old Railroad Street) between E 8th and 9th Streets.
