This is a Roman theatre as for type and age. Travel guide “The Lycian way” has “Today it is thought that there existed a theatre before this one, but it was destroyed by the Romans”. But then it states , as other sources do, that it was rebuilt in the mid-second century AD for a Opramoas of Rhodiapolis who donated 30.000 denars, hardly Ancient Greek coin. By then the town was Roman (Livius site: “The Romans finally annexed it in 43 CE, creating the new province of Lycia et Pamphylia.”).
