English: St. Mary's Priory in Roscommon, County Roscommon, was founded by Felim O'Conor, King of Connacht, as house of Dominican friars in 1253. The monastery was dissolved c. 1573 but the friars continued to be active in the area. The priory is in ruins at least since 1612. See p. 229 in Aubrey Gwynn and R. Neville Hadcock, Medieval Religious Houses Ireland. This is the national monument #362 in state care of Ireland.
