The Graphic, Saturday 4 July 1891: NOW READY. THE GRAPHIC SUMMER NUMBER will contain Twelve Pages of Coloured Reproductions of a Set of Sketches made by THOMAS ROWLANDSON. while on a SUMMER HOLIDAY in the year 17S2, entitled "ROWLANDSON'S TOUR IN A POST CHAISE, 1782, from his Studio in London to the Wreck of the Royal George,' sunk at Spithead." The Original Sketches have remained in the hands of Private Collectors from that day to this, and have not only remained Unpublished, but also unseen, except by a favoured few.
