English: The San Diego Union Building was a prefabricated wood-frame building shipped by sea to San Diego from the East Coast. In 1967, James S. Copley, who was the publisher of the San Diego Union-Tribune, the successor newspaper to the San Diego Union, had the building restored to what it looked when the newspaper's first edition was published in 1868.
