Alejo Berlinguero (1746-1805)
Alejo Berlinguero de la Marca y Gallego. (1746-1805) Born Cartagena 1746, Died Cádiz 1805.
A Frigate Lieutenant, and qualified Pilot of the Royal Spanish Armada, Cartographer, Professor in the Academy of Pilots of the Royal Spanish Armada, Watercolor Painter.
In 1793 he returned to Cartagena and is put in charge of the Naval (pilot) school there. His promoted by Royal Order to Frigate Lieutenant; in his spare time he begins to paint, in watercolor, the ships of his time. In 1805 he dies in the city of Cádiz.
