Scarl's Tea Room (June 1929-1936) was located at 743 Linden Street, at the northeast corner of Eighth and Linden Streets in Allentown. Owned by Jack Scarl, who opened the building as a restaurant in 1927, the tea room served light lunches and non-alcoholic beverages (primarily tea) during Prohibition. Along with tea and light lunches, a full dinner menu was also offered by the restaurant.

Tea rooms and similar establishments were popular and were supported by the temperance movement as an alternative to the corner bars that were outlawed by the Volstead Act of 1919. After the end of Prohibition in 1933, restaurant began serving dinner platters as well as cold beer; the tea room and restaurant closed in July 1936. It's building, however remains and has been used by many businesses over the years.
