Steam Tricycles were made by tablissements Serpollet and Gardner-Serpollet in Paris, France, from 1888 well into the 1890s. One of them was licenced by Etablissements Les Fils des Peugeot frères in Valentigney, France, and became Peugeot Type 1 in 1891. These vehicles were considered as "automobiles" back then.
