English: All 28 spandrels between the arches within the nave and the apse in St. Mel's Cathedral carry plaster sculptures of angels, created by Terence Farrell (1798–1876) and restored after the 2009 fire by Stefan Emmelmann (1954–). They were the only elements of the original plasterwork that could be saved.
