Deutsch: Die Sankt-Johann-Baptist-Kirche in Köln, Altstadt-Süd, wurde 948 erstmals erwähnt und ist seit 1080 als Pfarrkirche bezeugt. Bis 1210 etstand ein romanischer Neubau, der einen älteren Vorgängerbau ersetzte. Die Kirche wurde zwischen 1943 und 1945 fast völlig zerstört. Dabei wurden der Turm ganz und der Chor bis auf den Sockel vernichtet. Teile der Seitenschiffe und das Mittelschiff blieben stehen. Sie wurden 1960–1962 in einen Neubau integriert.
