English: The Star of France was an iron full-rigged built in 1877 by Harland & Wolff, Belfast for J.P. Corry & Co., Belfast (Star Line). 1898 sold to J.J. Moore, San Francisco. 1905 sold to the Alaska Packers' Association, San Francisco. 1926-1933 laid up and 1933 rebuilt as a fish barge. 1942 wrecked on the Pacific Coast.
Her dimensions were: 258 × 38 × 22.7 ft (78.6 × 11.5 × 6.9 m) and tonnage: 1664 GRT, 1569 NRT and 1479 tons under deck.[1]
