English: For fourteen years, 1887-1901, Stockholm had a steam-powered tram servicing the steep hills of Södermalm every five minutes, from Karl Johans torg (Slussen) via Hornsgatan to Hornstull. Other trams were pulled by horses. In 1901 they were replaced by electric power.
