English: Stone turtles in Zhanjiang Prefecture-level city. These are traditional stone sculpture of the Leizhou Peninsula; they are said to have been installed on top of graves, to keep wild pigs from digging up the grave. Unlike the better known bixi turtles found throughout China, Leizhou's stone turtles are fairly small, and usually are not designed to hold a tablet. These days, many of them can be found in or around Leizhou Museum, Leizhou's Sanyuan Pagoda Park, and Xuwen Museum.
