This category is an image set. It should contain only images that have the same style, and should have a parent category that is purely topical.

These subdivided triangles can be thought of as a triangle drawn on a triangular grid. The files have names of the form "Subdivided triangle a b", where and are numbers (with leading zeroes so they sort correctly). One vertex of the triangle is the origin: one is steps to the right and steps along the gridline towards the upper right: and one is steps along the gridline towards the upper left and steps along the gridline towards the upper right. The image to the right demonstrates the case where .

These subdivided triangles can be divided into three categories:

  • Class I, or "Parallel", where .
  • Class II, or "Ortho", where .
  • Class III, or "Skew", accounting for all other cases. Class III triangles are chiral.

All files in this category were created using the Python script located in the author's GitHub repository. Please do not edit these files manually: instead, modify the script and upload ALL the files that have changed. That way, these images will remain consistent with each other.
