English: The Swartberg Nature Reserve conserves the Swartberg which forms the boundary between the Little and Great Karoo, (mostly) Western Cape, South Africa. From west to east, a distance of some 220 km (136 miles), it is divided into the Klein Swartberg Nature Reserve (east of Grootrivier / Buffelspoort), Towerkop Nature Reserve (both west of Gamka River, the latter accessed from the R323 / Seweweekspoort), Gamkaskloof (Die Hel) Nature Reserve (accessed via the R328 / Swartberg Pass), the Groot Swartberg Nature Reserve (traversed by the R328 pass), and the Swartberg East Nature Reserve (the section east of N12 / Meiringspoort, partially in Eastern Cape).
