From 1946 to 1954 the Type 26 CV was the flagship post-war model before the decline ; based on the LR 26 engine it is divided almost from the start into two distinct lines : Lago Record, the perfect Grand Touring car, and the Lago Grand Sport with a much sportier aim, close to racing models, in accordance with the policy of Anthony Lago.
