English: The Rower is a small village in County Kilkenny, Leinster in the south east of Ireland. The Rower is on the R705 regional road, roughly 30 km from both Waterford and the city of Kilkenny. The parish, which is also called Rochar, is situated at the confluence of the rivers Nore and Barrow, forming a tongue of land extending five miles (8 km) in length from north to south, by about three in breadth.
