The Wee Crafty Owl, wool and craft supplies shop on Jamaica Street, in the West End of Greenock. It opened in April 2019, with a workshop area for crocheting and crafts classes, and a weekly "Wee Crafty Social" group.

The shop yarn bombed nearby bollards in September 2019, "for advertising and to raise money for charity", with crocheted covers labelled "Handmade to make you smile, The Wee Crafty Yarnbombers". From 21 November 2020 onwards, festive crocheted "hats" appeared (anonymously) on pillarboxes around Inverclyde. STV News at Six on 16 December reported there were eleven by then, the shopkeeper described herself as part of a team crocheting some of the hats during the COVID-19 lockdown in Scotland, others had unknown creators. The woman who did the first one said it was "just to bring a smile to people's faces in this awful year that we're having".
