Oxford the third and dearly loved son of George Gilbert Scott and Caroline Scott of the Manor House at Ham & Great grandson of the Revd Thomas Scott sometime Rector of Aston: Sandford: Bucks who departed this life in faith and peace Jan: XXX MDCCCLXV in the XXIst year of his age to whose most sweet memory his sorrowing parents in sure and certain hope raise this memorial."
