English: a glacis (sloping wall), west/outside of the Old City & the Tower of David (Citadel of Jerusalem)'s vertical walls. The eastern side of the citadel doesn't have a glacis, but has a moat‎. (Cf. a plan.) It is topped by a terrace. The entrance to the terrace is by the citadel's NW tower.
